My Spoilers Policy

Spoilers

New Releases & Advanced Review Copies (ARCs)

When I'm reviewing new releases or advanced review copies my reviews will never contain spoilers.

Past Releases & Classics

When I'm reviewing past releases or classics my reviews may contain spoilers. Furthermore, whether they do or do not contain spoilers is completely arbitrary. Here are a few of examples of what to expect:

  • Dracula: Everybody knows the plot of Dracula.
  • The Empire Strikes Back: I wouldn't reveal Darth Vader's true identity to someone who has never seen Star Wars.
  • Murder on the Orient Express: In the case of any sort of mystery or detective fiction, I will never spoil the plot, regardless of how old the book is.

Basically, if spoiling the plot will ruin the experience, I won't do it. There are cases where spoilers don't ruin the experience. I think Dracula is a good example of this.

Trigger Warnings

I will do my best to include warnings when I think that the content in a book may be triggering.
